Who operates Winplace

This page sets out the formal details behind this website and the limits of what the information on the site can be relied on for. It is short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to our support address and you will get a plain-English explanation.

The company

Winplace is operated by Fortaprime SRL, a company incorporated in Costa Rica. The same company is the other party to your account agreement, receives your deposits and pays your withdrawals. Our site rules describe that agreement in full.

Where the site is run from

The casino platform, the cashier and support are run by the operator and its service providers, not from a UK office. The English section at /en/ is aimed at UK players, with prices shown in pounds sterling.

Our licensing position

No UK Gambling Commission licence

The UK Gambling Commission has not licensed Winplace. We make no claim that it has, and you will not find a UK licence number anywhere on this site. We also do not quote any other licence number. If you ever see a page using our name that says otherwise, it is not ours.

GAMSTOP does not apply

GAMSTOP, the UK’s national self-exclusion scheme, covers operators licensed in Great Britain. It does not cover Winplace accounts. Anyone who has registered with GAMSTOP for a break can extend it to Winplace through our own self-exclusion, and the bank gambling blocks described on the responsible play page work alongside it.

What this means in practice

Because we are not licensed in Great Britain, the protections that come with a UK licence, such as the Gambling Commission’s complaint rules and its approved dispute resolution services, do not apply to your account. Our own complaints route, with a written final response from a senior team member, is described on the contact page.

About the information on this site

Accuracy

We take care that what we publish about games, payments and promotions is correct on each page’s revision date. Offers, payment methods and game libraries change, however, and the version shown inside your account and the cashier is the one that counts. If the site and the cashier disagree, the cashier is right.

Offers and figures

Bonus amounts, wagering requirements and time limits mentioned on the site are summaries. The binding terms are the site rules and the terms shown next to each offer at the moment you claim it. Payout times, such as approval within 8.5 minutes for a verified account, describe how things normally run and can be longer when extra checks are needed or a bank is slow.

No financial or legal advice

Nothing on this site is advice about money, tax or law. Gambling is entertainment with a built-in house edge, and nobody should rely on it as a source of income. In the UK players are not usually taxed on gambling winnings, but your own circumstances may differ, and a qualified adviser can confirm your position.

Links and outside content

Websites we link to

Our pages point to a handful of outside sites, mostly free support services such as GamCare and BeGambleAware and the Information Commissioner’s Office. These links open in a new tab. What appears on them is up to their owners, and we cannot answer for it, though we check that the links still work when we update a page.

Game content

Games come from independent studios, Evolution, Play’n GO and Pragmatic Play among them. Each game’s return to player, rules and maximum win are set by its studio and can be read in the game’s information panel.

Liability

Limits on our responsibility

We are responsible for running the casino in line with the site rules. We are not liable for losses caused by events outside our control, such as failures of your internet connection, your device or a third-party payment network, or for losses from bets you chose to place. Nothing on this page limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud.

Availability

We aim to keep the site open around the clock but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Planned maintenance is announced in the lobby where possible. A round interrupted halfway through is settled from the studio’s own log.

Fair dealing and checks

Age and identity checks

Only adults aged 18 and over may play. Before the first withdrawal every player goes through a one-off identity check, and we may ask for more documents if a payment provider or our anti-money-laundering duties require it. These checks are a legal requirement for us, not a sign that we suspect you of anything.

Payments from the UK

Players in the UK should pay by debit card. Credit cards are refused, following the British ban on staking borrowed money. Debit card, e-wallet, Paysafecard, bank transfer and crypto options are listed in the cashier, each with its own processing time. All payment methods must be in the account holder’s name.

Accounts we may decline

We may refuse a registration or close an account where the law of the player’s country does not allow us to accept them, where the details given do not match the documents, or where we see signs of fraud. Any balance you are entitled to is returned in line with the site rules.

Brand and copyright

Our name and design

The Winplace name, the logo, the tuxedo cat and the texts and images on this site belong to the operator or are used with permission. You may share links to our pages, but copying the content or the brand for another website is not allowed.

Questions about this page

For anything legal that is not covered here, email our support address. We reply in writing, which gives both sides a record of what was said. Requests from lawyers or authorities should come from an official address and name the account or matter concerned, so that we can pass them to the right person without delay.
